Redeemer Network

In 2008 the Lord spoke clearly to me, he wanted me to give the rest of my life to the work of church planting. At the time I was 22 years old, about to graduate from Texas Tech University (wreck ‘em!), and I didn’t have any idea what it would look like to give my life to the work of church planting. Fast forward nine years and I am blown away by what God has done. GOD has done something really unique and incredible since 2008 and you may not know we are a part of it — it’s called the Redeemer Network.

Redeemer Network has a vision. The vision is to plant 20 churches by the year 2020. God gave this vision to Redeemer Church in Lubbock, Texas nine years ago, which at the time seemed lofty and downright impossible. In 2011 Josh Reeves and I became church plant number one as we were sent out to plant Redeemer Round Rock. Since then Redeemer Lubbock has continued to partner (or plant) 12 new churches. Since 2011 Redeemer Round Rock has been able to train/support/plant three new churches. If you do the math— that is 16 new churches that have been planted since 2008. These 16 churches make up Redeemer Network.

This year I have the honor and privilege to lead Redeemer Network. This opportunity allows me to coach and support pastors and leaders in the Redeemer Network two days a week, as well as overseeing our collaborative church planting residency (5 men we are training to be church planters).

In January we were able to gather together with all of the Redeemer Network pastors and church planting residents for a 2-day retreat on a ranch in Brady, TX. It was a rich time of fellowship, prayer, and worship. I left so encouraged by how God is at work amongst our churches. People are coming to faith in Jesus Christ, disciples are being made, and the kingdom of God is expanding through our growing network.

Redeemer, I hope that you are encouraged by what we get to be a part of! God is at work through us here in Round Rock. And God is allowing us to be apart of something bigger beyond Round Rock through the Redeemer Network. What a cool thing! What a good God.
