MLP - Church Planter Training

Redeemer’s church planter training is for Elder qualified and assessed lead planters who have discerned a call to plant within the next two years. The goal of the training is to help qualified men plant churches with a missional community DNA and partnership with the Soma family of churches. The training is designed to have the planter immersed in our community for at least one year but we also know there are certain situations that immersion will not fit.

Our lead planter program exists to train, immerse, and release leaders to plant gospel-centered, reproducing, missional community churches. It is designed to give prospective planters/pastors hands on experience and equipping in the local church.

- Immersion into missional community life, leadership, and multiplication
- Regular interaction with pastors/planters working on the ground level
- Earn a part of a fully accredited Bachelors or Masters degree through Antioch School
- Monthly sit downs with your assigned coach & mentor
- Connect with other local planters through GCM Collective and PlantR network
- Opportunity to plant as part of Soma family of churches
- Participate in Soma School & MC Fast Track training
- Develop your own church planting strategies throughout the training progam

- Missional Community DNA (MC Fast Track & Soma School)

- Life on Life relational assessment (Ideally 1 year immersed into community, but 4 weeks worth of   immersion or on site visits can supplement when won’t work)

- Monthly check-in with assigned leadership coach
- Monthly coaching meetings with MC coach
- Quarterly chat and discussion with other residents
- Leadership profile that assesses your strengths and weaknesses as a leader
- Access to Soma area team leaders as needed for specific issues

Residents will be required to be working this out in missional community: A) immersed into a existing Soma church or B) living key components of missional community in current church. We strongly encourage all residents to spend one year immersed in an existing Soma church but realize this is not always a possibility.
